Hello! Have spent a lot of time on this forum and i’m glad to have something to post. It’s always been a regret of mine selling my 3800 cars and never building one to its potential.

Picking up an 02 gtp in the next couple days and want to build and tune on one for nostalgias sake like i could barely afford to do back when I had my GPs.

Mainly after a phenolic gen 5 IC, gen 5 blower, N* TB and adaptor, zzp or TOG headers, a stainless exhaust with mufflers/resonators, belt wrap kit or 8/10 rib? setup, MPS with 3.4-3.1-2.9-2.7 pulleys and potentially a built trans if i can get some paperwork with it. Basically everything 18 year old me wanted to do.

Let me know what you have. I know there are piles of these parts out there.

    Have a great day!

Will consider either a gen 3 or 5 intercooler core / kit as long as it’s phenolic.

    Thanks!

the phenolic intercoolers are difficult to find anymore because the guy that made them stopped making them. unless you can find one used, you will have to purchase a new one from ZZP. As far as buying a gen 5, I can help you there. Here is a link to a bunch of gen 5's for sale nationwide for a low cost.

Thanks for the tip on LKQ. I haven’t heard of that before but i’ve always used car-part. I saw the thread where Labarge stopped making the cores due to low demand. I’ll keep my eyes out for them for sure. I saw the video MACE performance made years and years ago where they put the beakers of water on a piece of aluminum and a piece of phenolic, both on a grill and i’ve been sold on the idea ever since.

The car i’m looking at picking up has a thrasher 222/222 cam in it with 135# springs. so i’ll be looking to swap someone for a calmer cam / springs as well if anyone is interested

Phenolic is a good idea, but it's not the end of the world if the core doesn't have it. It blocks residual heat the engine creates, but it makes very little difference in performance. Cooling the air coming out of the supercharger is where the huge gains come from, and a phenolic core won't do that any better.
