The case from almost any V6 4T65E will work if you are looking for only the casing.

    Exceptions/Info:
The cases from a G/H body car were reinforced with additional bolt holes in back for a rear transmission mount.
The differential cover between SC and NA are different sizes based on the larger differential.
A case/trans pan from a 97 has larger trans pan holes (it was consistent with the 4T60E)

If you are considering getting a whole core to rebuild, the best years for you would be 98-02.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

As Bill said, anything '98-'02 will work, with the same engine type to match your car's axles (L67 HD or L36 non-). Ran a 2002 Regal GS transmission in my 1998 GTP for the last 5-6 years I drove it before rust killed the chassis.

Check out car-part.com for any near you, and there should be tons of yards with them on the shelf for a couple hundred bucks.

Value of these cars is so poor that the best bet is probably to buy a whole car. A transmission case by itself is worth more than a car. Where I am.

Earlier years may have different trans cooler line fittings than your 02 also.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.
