I know only three may be bad, but I always recommend replacing in a flow-matched set. That's from experience. Trust me, it's not worth the headache. That being said, I run by the junkyard all the time and these are plentiful, so if you want I'll grab a set next weekend.

thanks! let me know if you can grab them for me please. yea I should flowmatch them. I have 6 right now from the same engine but the other 2(total of 8) were from another vehicle which doesn't have the bottom of the injector plastic spacer like the other 6. the 2 that are different were from a bonnie while the 6 were from a 97 gtp.

I just realize you're the one I bought the 6 injectors from the l67 and the 2 from the bonnie a few months ago!

Oh! lol so are the injectors bad? or is it just the bonnie ones don't fit correctly? I'll just pick up some and ship them to you if they're defective. I tend to like to keep my reputation in tact and take care of my customers!

the 2 bonnie ones didn't have the bottom flared plastic spacer like the wbody injectors did so I wasn't able to put orings on them. i'm chasing a lean condition at high RPM before shifting and i'm trying to see if its fuel injector related and if the 2 bonnie injectors may be causing a vac leak since it doesn't have the "spacer" around it to seat in correctly to secure vacuum, if that makes any sense? I only need 2 not 3 if you're able to get wbody l67 injectors. I was thinking of having the 3rd as a spare/backup. if you could ship 2 wbody style injectors and see if they're in working condition it'd be appreciated!

Those plastic pieces are the pintle caps. Those aren't necessarily the bonneville ones, they probably broke in transport since they're old and plastic. I was assuming you were buying a rebuilt kit for the injectors like this: FUEL INJECTOR REPAIR KIT O-RINGS, PINTLE CAPS FILTERS GM 3.8L V6 0280155737 | eBay

The better way to tell if the lean condition is related to your fuel injectors or not is to make a diy smoke machine. If you search the how-to's I've got a thread on one I use for everything. It costs maybe $20-30 to make using lowes parts and it'll keep you from "parts swapping".

Those two injectors are identical to the others, they are just missing the pintle cap. On injectors this old I would seriously recommend replacing them on all the injectors but that is of course up to you.

If you want though I'll send you two more injectors if you pay shipping, but I can't guarantee the pintle caps won't break on them. Personally, I'm a fan of just buying the kit posted above. You take a wood screw of about the same diameter, screw it into the filter, pop it out in a vice, and place the new filter in, pintle caps just break off and you slide on the new ones and the injectors are as good as new.

Also, on a side note, if you really want to know if your injectors are good, send them to: FUEL INJECTOR ULTRASONIC CLEANING SERVICE - New o-rings / microfilters included | eBay

They flow-matched and cleaned my injectors and replace the filters and pintle caps and o-rings for the price of the cleaning. I've done quite a few sets through them and they have good customer service. Just let me know how you want to go about it! I'm just sharing my experiences to try to help you not make the mistakes I did!

Yea thanks. If you could ship just 2 of the injectors and let me know how much shipping is (shouldn't be much for just 2). Ill check out that link for getting the injectors cleaned and flowmatched

Sure thing! Shouldn't be much, but either way I recommend replacing the pintle caps and filters, and getting them cleaned and using a smoke machine to pinpoint the leak. It'll make your life a lot easier, trust me, I spent nearly two months tracking down a vacuum leak before I tried the machine and found it in like 30 seconds...

They'd be able to find internal fuel leaks yes, but nothing they can really do to fix it if cleaning doesn't resolve it, though it is very rare. I think if they can't repair they only charge shipping.
