I could see if they got any at the yard, shipping might be fun given the size though... my zip is 56572.
I'm 63017. I'm looking for a tan dash with the HUD option. I only need the dash portion though... Not the front his assembly,If that makes sense. I appreciate your help!
Oh, I see. You mean the part on top that the HUD sits on...?
Yea, The main dash portion. The Hud piece wraps around the front closer to the windshield. I'm looking for the part closer to the steering wheel that wraps around the front.
Isn't that one piece that goes from the driver's to the passenger side of the dash? E.g., the part not pictures here that this stuff goes on/against: http://www.ebay.com/itm/97-03-PONTIA...lWpjBO&vxp=mtr
Correct. The part that sits closer to the driver, connects to the top of the gauge cluster cover, and wraps down the front on the passenger side.
I think I could find you one at the local yard, but given the cold I'm guessing it'd crack pretty good.
The book word for the part is "instrument panel carrier" and its quite a bit of work. It would be cost-prohibitive to ship a used one. A nice graphite one could be painted tan but there's very few left that haven't shrunken and peeled up on the front driver's side lip.
There's a R&I write up in the how-to section.
I'd check Speedway Salvage. I know last time I was out there getting Bonne parts I saw quite a few GP's, and I'm sure one of them had tan interior. Not sure on the shape of them but it could be worth a look and you wouldn't have to ship it anywhere.
Thanks for the heads up. I go to pick n pull and riverside every so often, but I've never been to speedway. Pick n pull seems to have a few GP fans, because most the GPs out there have been picked clean. I'm going to try a dash repair kit since the vinyl is split, but the pad underneath is fine. I purchased this kit. We will see how it turns out... https://youtu.be/z9qlwPMETY0
Man, I haven't been to Riverside in years. Used to be a clusterfvck of stuff but they were fair on pricing. I worked in Baden for a few years and used to hit those 2 places up every payday, lol.. Let us know how it works as I've got a small crack on the pass. side I'd love to fix w/o yanking the entire dash.
I think I have this part if still needed
