Any interest in detailing products reviews?

Just wondering if there is any interest in seeing product reviews for products that I have used. If there is I will post those threads here as well.

Please do! Wanted to buy wax today and didn't have an instant GPF-based opinion reference. So yes I reckon even as careless as I am about appearance on my vehicles, even I could have used an educated opinion. You seem to have the gift of discernment in that area and I'd take your advice. I got Meguiar's black wax in a squeeze tube and was quite pleased although I only did my roof so far.

A product suggestion for brightening up and protecting torque star wheels would also be a big help. There ya go, yes again.

I love to hear about them. I've been balls deep in learning about different products. Going to get Chem guy buffer pads, Meg M205 polish, then either wolfgang 3.0 sealant or Ammo NYC sealant. Ammos stuff is like 65 bucks lmao. But it's layerable and looks like it seals the best. Might try jax waxes too

Here's a little secret. All sealants are layerable. A majority of sealants on the market have a life span of 4-6 months on paint. It all depends on the surrounding environment. I have never used Ammo and I don't plan to as his line is more of a boutique product. There is no best product. The best product is the one the user chooses to use.

I would definitely be interested. I've been reading a lot on AG forums. One product I'm interested in your opinion is the Menzerna line. Especially the 400. I seen some really good reviews. Seeing that I'm a amateur, I'd like to keep things simple and use as few products as I can to get decent, long lasting results.

They say some FG400 & SF4000 and you got it dicked....powerlock to top it or Wolfgang DGPS. $120 or so later and you are set for awhile.
I use the SF4500 as my finish polish, DGPS to seal and couldn't be happier. I will switch to collinite 845 for winter. The DGPS has a cure time.

Sounds great. Also heard from a guy who teaches and does seminars at AG say something along the lines of "it doesn't matter which is best, as long as it is used often". Which I agree with

This is true. There is no best product. As Mike Phillips from Autogeek says, find something you like and use it often.

The menzerna line is great for polishes, I was not a fan of m205 or m105. Too much dusting and m205 has a ridiculously short work time. I just picked up some adams compound and am loving it so far just like I did with menzerna. Nice work time, no dust, and seems to have a nice cut along with finishing down great like a polish does.

I have not used Menzerna or Adams polishes myself. They both seem to get good reviews.

In regards to M105 and M205. M105 has a learning curve to it. As you said it has a short working time and it dusts like crazy. I don't own M105 anymore. I have switched over to M101 which is much better. Still dusts but not like M105. As a matter of fact I have been primarily using their D300 compound. It was intended for their microfiber cutting pads which I do own. But D300 works really well with foam pads especially with the new thin Meguiar's foam pads. Very low dusting and a long working time.

In regards to M205 what was your technique? What machine? What speed? I find it to have a long working time. The working time for a compound and polish varies by environment (temp, humidity). The only thing I don't like about M205 is that it leaves a lot of oils behind on the surface. So it takes quite a few wipedowns to remove them prior to applying a sealant or coating.

HD Polish is a good one. Does it's work fast and leaves nothing behind.

Americana Car Care has their Ameridepth polish which is really good as well. They are in the process of revamping their compound and polish and I am looking forward to trying out at least the polish. Very underrated product line.

Sorry, I meant M105 but hit the wrong button. I got good results with meguires but I now prefer menzerna or adams over them for polishes and compounds.

I agree with you on M105. I would not recommend it to anyone. It's to frustrating to use. I will do a review on the Adams products I have used shortly.

i've been eying up the liquid glass. ever used it ? it's kinda pricey and old school , but still has great reviews.

Never used it. It's pretty old school. Why not look at something with newer tech. There is plenty of good products on the market.

why not try a proven product that you never used ? if you read the reviews a lot of them say they try different stuff and always end up going back to the LG.
personally what a find appealing is the work time is unlimited , so you can do the entire car then go back and wipe it off , and you can use it in the sun , which is great if you're like me and don't have a garage.

Then by all means buy it. I'm not telling you not to buy it. You asked if I tried it and I told you I haven't. I'm just telling you that there are many products on the market with newer tech. that produce longer lasting protection and better looks.
