Ok I have the 4 door sedan. The rear passenger door, the end of the side skirt that is next to the front door lost its stick fullness and every time I try to open the rear door the piece bumps the front door preventing it from fully opening. The only way around it is if I open the front a bit. I tried applying a piece of 3M double sided molding/trim tape in the gap behind the side skirt and put a vice grip to apply pressure to ensure it was adhering to the door, but after a few days it comes apart. Any suggestions?

I removed my panel, cleaned off all old tape, and used ProForm double side tape......

One thing to remember about double sided tape; the working surfaces must be clean and warm, and the tape must be warm. I use BrakeClean to clean the working surfaces.

No problem. FYI, tape is easier to work with. The urethane takes a while to dry and stays flexible for quite a while, so you would have to tape the panel on for a while, and possibly not drive the vehicle until it cures.

bronco boy, its only on a small section of the side skirt so if i was to use only the urethane adhesive i wont be taking the entire piece off, just apply some to end piece where its loose and clamp it together with a vice grip to let it dry. the 3M directions say it only takes 6-10 mins for the urethane adhesive to dry if its above 60*F.

I'd double check that; 6-10 minutes should be the cure time, or working time. Full cure/dry time will should be 6-48 hours.

Remember when you get your windshield replaced, and you can't drive for 2-4 hours, and you r car just sits there, waiting for the urethane to dry.

I use urethane a lot for projects, and I usually let it sit for 24 hours before moving forward.
