    Do smoked headlights reduce visibility during nighttime driving? Heres a thread to the ones im looking at.

    No, of-course not, and 2% window tint doesn't reduce visibility.

    i dont think it would effect them that much.
    99 Grand Prix old build- CAI, Custom exhaust, HV3, Stage 2 TB, custom tune, ported heads intense s1x cam, headers.
    Nothing great Just a small T66 Turbo with a Hv3 On a stock tranny untill i finish the other one.

    It all depends on how dark you make them. When I had mine done, I only had them to two coats (clearcoat and black mixed), I've seen three coats done but I drive too much at night to reduce the visibility that much. It will help if you buy HID lights for your car.

    Haha, do you think if you spray painted your windshield or had limo tints (put on backwards) you'd be able to see the same out of it?

    I'll answer that for you, well yeah it will miss with your visibility.

    those look pretty dark to me, I think I would make sure you can return them if they are too dark for your taste...other then that I say the price is good, go for it.

    I'll try to get some pics with the lights on to show you that they really arent that dark. it was pretty overcast when i took those pictures.

    I read that if its OEM approved that it should not reduce visibility by much. is this true?

    The only way you can safely run those is with a HID kit. End of story.


    Our stock headlight output his bad enough as it is.

    be careful with those covers, the cops are very strict with them.
    i had mine on at noon in the middle of the summer, and got a ticket for not having my headlights on..

    a FTL, my headlights were not even turned on.
