They don't help with glare, I just worded that a little strange. I prefer them for cheap HID kits, they have a good warranty and nice kits for the price. I do stick with their "digital slim" ballasts though. For quality HID kits I use www.theretrofitsource.com, but they can be pricey.
For thine is the Cam, The Piston, and The Rod, Forever and ever (or until they break). Amen.

That's what I thought you meant. I agree with you; TRS stuff is top of the line.

That's all mine are for right now. They look really good in the daytime, makes my car more noticeable, especially on days with an overcast.

One reason they glare so much is because the hid's don't have the light blocking front tip that the halogens do. So when you've got them on, you're looking straight at the HID bulb, which is never pleasant. The second reason is that the light source may not be in the exact same place as the old bulb, which causes the reflection pattern to change from the reflectors in the back of the housing.

Here's what our fogs look like

That tip stops you from looking directly at the filament.
    In a housing:

If you were to scrape off that coating and re-install, the halogens would glare too. Probably not as bad as hid's due to the different light intensity. Then imagine moving the placement of the filament or hid, and the reflector would shine a different pattern.

With the stock bulbs in the housings, pretty much all of the light was projected in a beam that stayed out of oncoming traffic's vision.
You can see the beam here

With the HID's, the light output is completely changed. I get a full circle of light that extends way past the hid beam. Just to make things slightly better, I aimed the fog lights as far down as they would go. This was the result

Light still goes way too high, and the original beam pattern is completely changed. I want to try and replicate that light blocking coating on my hid's. Whether I coat it with something, or install some sort of cap over it, I'm not sure. If none of that works out, I will make some housings.
