I have a 2005 GP base model that i have installed front speakers, 12" Kicker CVR, and 2 amps. But this is it. I am planning on buying XD rockstar rims then repainting the car. It is black right now, but it isn't the shade or quality i want. I am wanting to go for a really glossy/shiny black and i also want to paint them rims to match. but on the rims i want to paint the stars and bolts a very Glossy Orange, close to the University of Tennessee color. I was rear ended over the summer and had the rear bumper repainted. It cost the insurance company (other drivers insurance) just over $600. So I am wondering what it may cost to paint the entire car this glossy black along with the rim paint as well? or any ideas, thank you

To have a shop do a quality job you are looking at a minimum of $2000 for a repaint. Maybe your paint is just faded and needs buffed and waxed.

Even so, a $2,000 paint job will look horrid. Unless you provide supplies, and do all of the prep yourself, be prepared to spend a considerable amount more.

$2000 for a gloss black paint job? Not even close. Any actual body shop will check the car for dents and other body damage and they won't repaint unless those get fixed. Gloss/pearl black is going to be expensive. Like the GM tri-coat black will run $200 per stage. Add probably $200 a wheel as well. Total is probably around the $8000 range. And I work at a high end customs shop (google 2014 winfield award studebaker), so I have a very good insight as to the costs.

That's why I said minimum. I know paint costs have went through the roof recently. As it is, though, I paid $200 to have my Inferno hood and SPO spoiler painted. That included the cost of materials, prep, and a finishing buff.

Yeah paint prices are crazy. when i had my suburban the paint was great everywhere and the cheapest place i could find told me $800 for just the hood. Or you can just do like i did a few years ago. i bought a nissan 240sx for $800 and talked to a shop owner and traded it to get my lumina repainted

You could probably have the whole car wetsanded and polished to a perfect mirror finish for less than $2,000.
