how much work is involved and what do i need to do it? dremel? something bigger?

A lot. Polishing anything is a lot of work. First you need to get it blasted to make smooth enough so you can polish it. Then you need to polish and for the best results you should probably seal it.
I'm sure you could make a dremel work but you may need about two of them after you burn up the first one.
I'm no expert at this though. Thats why i didn't do mine. but the results were nice.

Not much work required at all. Just pull it off, stick it in a box, and send it off to the land of awesome and win.
Farnsland
There are two writeups in the how to section about this
Thanks TDC,ur pics are what got me wanting to do this.Streetwolf good heads up on link, but i was kinda hoping it would be something i could do around the house on a weekend or so.Scotty i searched before i posted and didnt see a how to write up.If u know of the link off the top of ur head could u post it plz?
Yeah, i'd let Reptile or Farnsworth take care of it. They've proven there workmanship many times over.....
Polishing your SC with a dremel would take you about 1000 hrs and it still would look like sh-t,I've polished many smaller parts and at minimum you need a die grinder & a Bench grinder with polishing wheels ,when I finally got my SC done I sent it to Reptile it came out a proffessional job ,enough to get me second in a car show for engine compartment and the competition was stiff![]()
