Hello, I need to know if anyone has swapped manual seat tracks on the 2001 GP seats onto a 2004 and up power seat base? I have manual seats, and I am wanting to install the seats from the newer car...will they be the same size seat tracks? I don't want the power seats because I know there is no where to hook them up to, thanks for your help. I would like to know if this will work before I buy the seats.

seat frame and bolts points should be the same. if you put power seats in, you kinda have to power them, its do able.

No, I want to remove the power seat tracks and install my manual seat track. Please explain how I make the power seats work then? Also know I know nothing about hooking up wires.

    I prefer manual sliding seats.

you maybe able to Frankenstein them. i do believe someone made manual into power via a frame swap, seemed like a lot of work tho.

id go to a junk yard find a car in your body style and take the power seat harnesses. most of the time you can splice or even just plug them in and they work.

if you need to wire them in people here can post the wire diagrams and you can follow them. theres also a few how to's for putting 04+ seats in the 97-03 GP

mad monkey, member here. is putting new leather power seats in his 04+ car, his car has no wires for the power seats or heaters, im sure he will be posting how he makes them work.

If you prefer the manual seats then why worry about the wiring?

im sure manual seats only come in cloth, and he wants leather? thats the only reason i cant come up with.

No, the seats are cloth ones from a 2004 GP. I want to swap my manual frames onto the seats, then keeping my frames and not having to splice wires.

When I swapped my Mustang seats, I just had to swap the frames keeping manual seats. I want to know if it just requires taking off 4 bolts at each corner to swap the frames.

Well, how is my wife going to slide them if I bolt them in with the power seats not hooked up?

To swap the frames it's just unbolting them from the seats.

How? The seats I have, have the nuts welded to the seat frame. It looks like I'd have to remove the leather and cushion to get to the bolts.

Do you think that's an insurmountable problem? If you study the seat base for more than a minute, it'll become apparent just how easy it is to remove the seat cover and cushion.

On my 00 it was just 4 bolts underneath.
