Wife and kids unfortunately had to go home for a wedding and funeral with out me so I need to give the car some attention.

    List goes.

Paint GPO's and roof rails. (Black)

Paint fascia's front and rear. (OEM Charcoal)

Loose the red calipers and rear red inlay. (calipers back to black)

Anyone know the oem charcoal duplicolor paint code for the fascia's?

What glue for roof rails? 3M window adhesive?

Might do front pads since these dust really bad.

Oil change, wax job, and tuff stuff carpets also on the list.
SLP spoiler, SD lip and GTX hood eventually once I find time to get them all painted.

I wish I had time to do all I needed to the car, sounds like a good list and weekend though

Im glad its all minor just little things but little things not taken care of soon turn into driving a pile of trash, up keep is needed instead of blaming the vehicle saying its junk.

Treat it well it should last me a while its still well under 100k its got 88k on it now.

Next week list is doing EVERY exhaust gasket, donut, bolts and hardware, since the exhaust leak is driving me insane.

Meh if its clean body odometer is just a number. Me personally for the most part these cars are easy to work on and parts are cheap too.

This is the 7th W body ive had and easily the best one.

The OE charcoal accent color number I would have to hunt for, then see if DC has that. I say pick a darkish one and go since you're painting both. Even mixed paint might vary greatly on an accent color. Here is a 98 GM chip chart if it would help your research:

    http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.asp...98-Gm-pg01.jpg

I plan to use 3M attachment tape for rails, doing mine soon. I prefer grey for that and hope I don't need to layer it. I've done lots of rego ditch moldings but never rails yet. The ones I took off mine were glued over tape, lol. Everything has to be clean clean and dry dry, use thinner or solvent degreaser or alcohol first and dry thoroughly. Even scuffing first is good.

Windshield urethane might work good but you gotta keep it weighted down til dry. That stuff isn't meant to stick to shiny bare plastic. Paint, yes but then you are depending on paint adhesion to hold the rail on.

Sounds like a workout, enjoy the projects. I need to do some brake appearance work myself, big time. Too bad about your family stuff.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

I just did the 3m tape for the rails, mainly because I don't live anywhere that someone would even know what they are or would steal them. I think it's been about 2 years now and they are holding great.

Thanks! Family thing was planned trip home for wedding not funeral obviously but they are close together so wife and kids will be gone for a few weeks.

SHHHHHH inlaws so im not heart broken about missing the wedding.....

Will be just using duplicolor as close as I can if I cant get an exact match but with doing both it shouldn't be to big of a deal.

SD lip, GTX hood, and SLP spoiler will be body shop prof painted, not by me.

Anyone else use just 3M tape? Little leary about using just 3M tape.

3M tape will work, it holds my trim on fine and that's like 3 years old or so

Paint code is WA8945 Charcoal grey metallic. Also 3M works fine for roof rails.
