Thanks. I had put the wrap on my front and rear emblems on my Trailbazer I previously owned, but that was during spring/summer and I sold it before the frigid North Dakota winter came so I never tested it. Its the 3M brand so it should be good. On ebay a 12" x 48" sheet is $37.
I don't think it looks bad but at the same time kinda looks out of place. Any plans on doing the rest of the trim around the windows with it?
Looks like you did a great job wrapping it but honestly it looks out of place I would of just stuck like a mate or gloss black vinyl instrad
Out of place, not subtle enough. And that's coming from a guy that has cf in my interior.
Yeah I agree. It makes it a little dull. I might peel it off someday and do gloss black wrap.
Not subtle enough means it's too subtle. I think...
Not subtle enough means it sticks out too much.
Instead of wrapping it, why not just tape it off and paint it?
What's really throwing it off is the flood black from the other window trim.. I would either wrap all the trim in cf or just do it in gloss black.
I'll just do gloss black wrap.
I'd honestly keep the carbon fiber, and just give it a coat or two of some sort of tinting spray to make it pop out less. A subtle carbon fiber if you will. And also add it to the rest of the black moldings to make it flow better. I think it could work if it wasn't so "in your face" with the pattern.
