Hey everyone, I recently picked up a package deal, an SD hood, 2 Borla Mufflers with exhaust tips, and a climate control head unit for $270 cash. Hood is not perfect and is black (my car is white), but I figured it was still a really good deal. I got the hood put on and I love the look of it, but I have a few questions. Everything I have read has said that the heat extractors are functional, but mine are not. It seems they never had the holes cut in them. I've read that the heat extractors leak water, so I'm thinking I might leave them. As far as a cooling advantage, I drove my car 60 miles with NO hood and didn't notice much of a difference in temperature, lol. Am I wrong in this? Also, what color are these hoods when originally purchased? Mine is black and is chipping in a few places, and appears to be white underneath. Here's some pics of the hood, along with some more questions, lol.

    On the car:

    Underside:

    Rivets for a plack?

Chips, and before you looks, I bought this hood knowing I'd need to do some work to it, the paint is in BAD shape...I know this:

Then there is this, I'm not sure what it is, but I think it'l only the black paint. It is still strong, no give in the fiberglass at all. So I think that structurally speaking, the hood is solid:

The gel coat underneath the paint is what is white. Mine is like that as well. Is "americansportscar.com" in the bottom around the center? I have notice these ones are a bit lower quality than the PFYC ones, which is something I wish I would've known when I got my ASC one lol.
2004 Comp G "The Panda"- low, e85, big brakes SOLD
2002 Trans Am- 6 speed, bolt ons or something, it's slow.

I'll head out and look, bottom closer to the windshield or up towards the front of the car?

Edit: I went out and looked, it looks like it might have said something down towards the windshield. It looks like it might have been stickers or something.
