I really just need to decide something in the near future because I like cannot see at night. It's definitely between HIDs or retrofits now
It's bad around here especially with lifted trucks and these so called tuner cars.
Another question, for HIDs, I understand that the are different temperatures, but does a higher temperature mean more light output or just a different color?
HIDs in a stock housing will be a quick and dirty fix. Ebay/VVME/DDM are cheap and usually work alright (still rocking some VVME's in my fog lights for over a year) Though they are hit or miss.
HIDs from TRS will be much higher quality, warm up WAAAYYY faster, be brighter, and last way longer. Still not going to give you the best usable light, but will be a quick, dirty, quality fix.
Retrofits from TRS are the end-all to headlights. It's more expensive, more time consuming (unless you get them from Classy) and way more awesome. It will give you the best usable light, and you will be inducted into the GPF.net retrofit club of awesome buddies for life.
You can do a more budget friendly retro if you like
Cheapo hid kit (just keep in mind it may be a hit or miss)
Older mini h1

-morimoto h1 bulbs
-you can use your stock headlights but I suggest just getting a brand new pair so you still have your original if you ever have a problem you have a stock pair to use during
That's the basics
Dammit, why couldn't these cars have just been made with decent headlights.
Cause 90s-2000s GM
On a related note, my dad just got a new sierra pick up with projector headlights and they're pretty impressive and make me want to lean that direction.
^ you won't want to go back. Once I retrofitted I hated driving anything without some type of projector in them
^ same. I don't think a single person has even been upset at a retrofit (other than maybe cost)
You wont want to drive a car without them.
^ sell drugs, be a stripper, em sell your test tube babies, etc etc haha
Only real downside in stock housings is no high beams imo

So is this what I would need for retrofit? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...l#.UtypJec8KK0
Don't get the bi xenon kit for stock housings. The high beams are non existent.
