Does anybody know how to remove the Lower GTP door moldings? Mine are broken and I have a friend who totaled his GTP and I'm planning on removing his to have them painted and replace mine.....

Ive heard they are just held on by double sided tape. However, mine was loose on the passenger side towards the rear of the car. When I down there to fix it I found there was some sort of track it sits on as well. Now, that track may be taped on or something like that, I dunno, I just know I had to work that one end up over the track on the top edge of the molding. Now on the bottom edge of that molding there may be some double sided tape holding in on there, but there is some sort of 'track' holding it in place up on the top edge.

Its not hard to get off or on that track though, just kinda have to work with it. If the bottom edge is taped on, then obviously the easy way would be to pull that edge off first and then you could just lift it up over that track. Replace the double sided tape and re-install and you should be good to go.

mine were held by double sided tape with two holes for alignment. there was this odd bracket underneath that looked as if it did absolutely nothing. really easy to take off though

they have tape and clips, i just removed a whole set from the local u yank it yard (matching color, so i had to grab them). the moulding is taped on top and has a lip attached to a metal bracket along the bottom. the metal bracket is held on with clips, you have to push the center of the clip all the way in (sometimes they end up inside the door and you have to take the interior panel out and fish for them) and pull gently. if you don't have to take the metal bracket off, don't. those clips get brittle and tend to break easy.
