hey figured id chime in a question. i have an 02 gtp how can i wire in a switch to turn off my hid? i no longer have access to GMs SI program, hanes electrical diagrams are completely inaccurate and i never thought id say this but google is no help at all. i tried jerry rigging my oem switch, over all it worked fine but it messed up my dimmer function so i consider that a failure. i dont want to run 20' of wire going to the power wire on my fuse block and i cant add a relay cuz i like having a clean engine bay any ideas? im good with wiring but im running out of ideas. running wires directly to the power wire or the headlamp connector seems like my best bet but i dont like the idea of adding resistance to that circuit.

I just ordered some HID bulbs from Retro Solutions today. I am taking out those crappy Sonar projectors i bought like 3 weeks ago and putting stock lights with 55w 8000k HID bulbs. Once i get them in I can tell you what i think of them. Reviews seem to be 5 star overall.

I almost wish I went 10k for mine. I like the blue but I also think pure white looks very clean too

The higher the kelvin rating the worse the light output IMO the whole point of hid lighting is for better light output. If you want fruity colors then buy regular color dipped glass halogen bulbs from the local ricer store. 4300k-6000k is best

4300-5k would be the only bulb rating I would use anything over 6k your defeating the purpose of having hids. The only ones that enjoy the blue that comes from hids generally only added hids for cool blue lights!

Agreed. I have 5K in head's and fog's. Slight bluish tint when looking at them but in the dark its bright bluish white light output.

if you have projectors 4300k will look blueish if you are staring into the projector from outside the vehicle. However the light output onto the road will be white/oem

After the first go of HID headlights with 6k, in retrospect, 5k would have served my needs better. I wasn't really looking for a blue bulb and that's what 6k comes across as.
