First off this is not in the right section. This is not a ''how to write up''.

But to answer you're question you can just pull the DRL fuse located in the fuse box near the glove box. It should be a 10 Amp red fuse.

gotboost3 thanks for posting this thread I've been looking to do the same thing. I have done the drl delete but would rather have my yellow parking lights be on during the day. It would save me from turning them on manually. I also have a set of halo projectors coming so thought it would be good to wire the halo's into the parking lights then have them run off the DRL. Anyone done this before?

BackinBlack I don't see this on your site.

that is exactly what i want to do. i dont really want the parking lights part. so in the long run when the drl come on it would be the halos and then still retain the automatic lights. i dont even know if that is possible. has anyone done it? also when it becomes night time would the drls turn off. i know that should be a no brainer but i didnt know if they would turn of since it goes strait from drl to low beams. any help would be awsome may that be telling me it will work or even more helpful by telling me how.

The pic that silver posted seems to be awsome and not too complicated. Just to clarify I want to be sure I understand it correctly... Following those steps The headlights will not turn on for DRL but the fogs will? And this maintains the automatic headlight functionality? And when the automatic headlights kick in it powers the headlights and I have manual control of the fogs with the foglight switch? I just got some HIDs and projectors in the mail and want to have the halos and fogs on for DRLs (powering the halos off the fog lights) and then normal lowbeams kick on when it gets dark out. Ton of questions I know lol, I just want to be sure before I start cuttin wires. Im not all that good when it comes to electrical.

    Just wondering...

If you power your halos off the DRL, wouldn't they only be like 60% power and therefore not as bright?

    Just wonderin'...

you could do it with a relay. kinda over kill but it would get rid of that problem if it is a problem

Any idear how to due this on newer models? I have an 08 GXP and this is EXACTLY what I need. I cannot count the number of times I have been driving and not noticed I'm "strobing" until I get behind someone. Adding caps is not really something I would like to do (don't want the HIDs running 24/7) and disabling the entire automatic headlight system are just not ideas I'm willing to do.

That only happens for me about 1 out of 100 times lol

I want just my fogs on for drls and not the Amber colored ones. Is that what the result of the pics above get me?
