3m trim tape, or the spray, its kinda like rubber cement but better im sure. id tape off the paint around the area before spraying.

or take the door trim off of the inside and pop the clips and then get new clips to hold it tight. a few people have started threads about removing the door trim, and then they find they need to fill the holes for the clips.

When mine was coming off, I just took the whole trim off. I cleaned the top of the trim where the trim touches the door and the section on the door where the trim touches the door with alcohol. Then I removed the old tape and replaced with new 3M/1/2 in. x 15 ft. molding tape (03614) | Body Molding Tape | AutoZone.com. Its been on for about a year now with no issues.

alright cool guys thanks. i was thinking the samething about just removing the trim, cleaning it and retaping it instead of taking the trim off and the bottom brace.

It looked good when I was finished. No tape was sticking out. 1/2 inch is the perfect width for what we need it for.
