So I had my HIDs installed by a shop here locally about 2 years ago because I wasn't comfortable messing with wires. At first they worked fine no problem. Then the pass. side light wouldn't turn on. They said I got a bad relay replaced it free of charge. Now this has happened about 3-4 times within the past 2 years. They always say it's the relay, fix it and then it works great for another few months. All free of charge which is why I keep going back but now it's just frustrating.

Recently I replaced their relay (don't know the brand) with a morimoto one so the high beams work with my retrofits. I did them this time since I had something to go off of with them installed already. This was about 2 weeks ago and now the pass. headlight stopped working again all of the sudden.

Is it the relay? Is it a bad ballast possibly? Is there another problem I haven't thought of? We've been getting a TON of rain here recently and it's been very humid if that makes any kind of difference.

Screwed to the frame of the car. I can try to get a picture but being on the frame should be correct right?

You don't really give us any info about the setup, year of car etc.

    Are these relays weatherproof?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Do you have a DRL sensors? I put tape over mine to fool the car into thinking its night out all the time so the hids get a constant 12v and no problems

I'd start looking at connections being loose or corrosion. Weatherproof best as possible. Parts don't go bad constantly like that without a reason. Also see how much voltage they're getting and rated for. They could be burning up from to much power.

Car's a 98. Have 35w HIDs 5000k bulbs and a relay. Not sure if the Morimoto relay is weather proof either. I'm at work and don't remember the ballast brand right now. The DRL fuse is pulled too.

I'll check all the connections before work tomorrow. What's the best way to weather proof all this stuff? And how would I check to see how much voltage everything is getting?

Weatherproof relays have a nice seal on the connector etc and rubber boots around the wires. GM uses a lot of these on stuff under the hood. 92-99 Bonnevilles and other large cars had a relay center under the hood. When I'm looking for good weather protection I take a trip to the JY and use factory stuff. They engineered it to survive nearly anything, and I like that.
