While I was walking around through the local pick and pull I noticed a 97 Green GTP. A guy i used to work with owned the car. He had it lowered and also had an slp spoiler on it. I wanted to take the springs but decided against it but picked up the spoiler. only problem was the paint was in bad shape and it had a crack along the rear lip. Im was hoping this can be fixed and since I have done so much of my own work lately figured I would take a stab at it. can anyone one give me some insight to what it would require to repair

BTW I did rattlecan it temporarily until I can properly fix the crack.

which yard were you at? not that I have time to go and look. I got a couple cracks in my hood scoops. some kind of putty--like you would putty wood. i'm not sure what you use on plastic, though. go look at the hardware store maybe

I think I actually saw that car on craigslist. it was listed as having some mods but needing finished or needing work. it was green with black rims and low profile tires. it had I think the sd hood on it. that is what I was wanting. I was just going to plastidip until I decide to have the whole car painted. might not be the same car. I thought since it wasn't running in the ad it might have just gotten scrapped. I do need new front struts.....usually those are no good but maybe since those were lowered it has newerish struts in it.

there's this putty stuff at local hardware stores. its like in a tube runs about $5, and u smash it up to mix the inside putty with the outside and it turns warm a little but when it dries u can sand it paint it shave it anything.. its amazing. u can shape it to whatever u like. I fixed an old steering wheel with it and painted it and u cant tell it was ever cracked.. the stuff is good sh**.. ill see if I can find it..

I would just use filler glaze, they sell that by all the other paint and body stuff at auto part stores.

Drill out both ends of the crack or it will spread, then use a router tool (not sure what they are called) and grind the crack out, then use a 2 part epoxy that says you can sand it, that's how i fixed the crack on my bumper
