keep us updated, I will probley snag a pair, I just want some brighter headlights. I don't drive my cart at night because i can't see. And if its raining...

So....is anyone else gonna jump in line?

As with the list on ClubGP, there is no need to add your name to any lists. He was just initially asking for a headcount to see how much time he could dedicate to the group buy. Everyone on the multiple forums is included in the group buy and Spyder Auto has a first run of 600 sets of lights ordered, so I'm pretty sure that more than covers the 3 big forums. Plus, it'll just end up filling everyone's inboxes and having people add their name to multiple lists on multiple forums unnecessarily. John has exclusive rights to them I believe he said for the first month or two so if you want them they will be yours (provided you have the $$$).

Just a couple updates for everyone here (John can correct me if I'm wrong on anything):

Andy's Auto Sport finally updated their pricing to what is believed to be their "real" pricing when their "backorder" is done. The listed price on AAS is currently $399 + shipping. If you ordered, get a refund as the group buy will be cheaper (supposed to be in the $300-350 range shipped) and more reliable. Not to mention AAS will be waiting awhile. Which brings me to next update...

Update 3/10/08

I have some disturbing news.. Originally my bosses told me that 600 units were
coming on the 19th, however today I checked on the purchase order and it seems
that only 100 units are scheduled to arrive on the 19th.. Apparently the other 500
units are actually scheduled to arrive periodically after the 19th, at what time intervals
i have no clue..

Just thought I'd inform you guys on the news. As for my "express shipping set," still
no word.. boss supposedly is gonna call and complain today as we've received only
more sample lights for other applications in our express deliveries as of late..

don't worry tho.. i mean, if u're not on the first 100 when they drop,

another 100-200 units should arrive within a month i believe... hopefully..

I wouldn't freak out too bad if you are one of the interested members as fairly sure most people interested right away will get a set. No numbers have been released as to production numbers for black/chrome. Again this group buy will be open to the GP community as a whole. No forum gets them over another.

If possible they will test the HIDs in them, but I would not hold them to this as I don't believe the test car (Chromius) is equipped with HIDs and they would have to modify a set to work. From a post I read, the focal length is believed to be the same though.

Not that I know of. The 97-03s are quite cheap now, but also took 10+ years to get a company to make. Haven't heard any progress on the 04+ GPs. Keep searching Google, eBay, etc. now and then or contact companies directly. Good luck and hopefully you don't have to wait until 2015 for a set.
