This probably is one of the oldest threads but could not find the answer. I have a 2002 Grand Prix GTP and just cannot figure out how to stop the chattering. I want to shut off DRL and auto headlights but cannot figure out how to stop the relay chattering. I pulled the DRL fuse and disconnected the relay. Any help would be appreciated. I did it in my 2000 GT with no problems

Put the fuse back in and just have the heatsink unplugged.

That works for the DRL but not the headlights, I don't want the headlights coming on automatically

I found this site, the DRL module is under the drivers side and all you have to do is take out or cut the yellow wire from the plug. This will disable the headlight flash when setting the alarm but other lights still work and so does the horn. This also stops the auto head light from working with the head lights only. The parking lights and fog lamp if switched on will come on at dusk, no headlights. Now to just disable the DRL only, you have to disconnect the plug from the heat sink and that is located on the drivers side in that side panel you see when you open the door. You have to leave the DRL fuse in or you get chattering depending on the year of the car you have. Here is the link Alarm_Headlamp_Flash

you can reprogram it to what happens when you lock and unlock the car, and unplugging the heatsink when get rid of the drls but the auto lights you can get a resistor plug and plug that into the sensor so it thinks its day light all the time

That was excellent, I was banging my head off of the wall trying to figure this out. I have it the way I want it now with just the parking lights coming on at dusk only.
