im getting ready to powdercoat the wheels on my 05 gtp comp g. i notice the wheels have a dark grey coating on the inside of the spokes. is this painted on? also does the rest of the wheel have any clear or protective coatings? just want to check everything before i dive in. i would blast them but we are having issues with our blaster

Yeah, the wheel's painted, and the spokes are clear coated.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Good luck in removing the paint... Been there and doing that now. Aircraft stripper works but slow process. Sand Blaster at my shop isnt working well either and barely works. Gm used some real paint.

He is in South Dakota, you are in New York. Are you going to pay shipping on four wheels?

I would put it in your PC oven without coating it for as long as it takes to cure the wheel. If the paint doesn't flake, peel, etc. just PC over the paint.

    If that makes sense...

Rule 30: There are no girls on the internet.

Back OT. If you are having them done at a pro shop, they should have a sand blaster. If you are doing it yourself, get a disk ginder with a flap wheel and go to town.

I hate to coat over an existing coating if i can avoid it. As long as the existing coating is strong it shouldn't be a problem. We have a flapper wheel but its not fun to try to get between the spokes. I think ile hit it with some stripper and try to blast them. Our compressor is in a temporary location without an adequate dryer and im getting alot of moisture in the sand making it a real pain to blast.

There's always hand sanding. I've done it before and it took about an hour per wheel. That being said, about 3 years later my engine enamel is still on there like the day I sprayed it.
