Why has no one tried part number GM2592149 (GXP projector fogs) as mods on a GT or Base?

    What am I missing here?

OBX headers, TEP tranny cooler, ls1 IM fuel rails and injectors, ls2 TB, ls7 MAF, full custom exhaust, Quad retro headlights, full out front and rear suspension work, tuned by HPT by me 8====>

I understand that it is completely different, but guys have gone thru bigger trouble to mount different projectors - can't GXP projectors be modded somehow to fit into our space? I'm not saying it would be easy, but neither is the work dudes on here are doing to make whatever fit.

True - I would relocate that to the low beam of my car (a la Drunkie) - and have only the GXP fog occuping the fog-hole. hehe

It's been done before. MidnightBlue I believe his name is took the Gxp (known as blazers GM uses them for several cars) and installed them into the fog portion of our lights. There's always better options out there though if your willing to do the work.

Good question - the images online show that the lens is small but the actual housing is larger. I'm wondering if there's a way to make them fit into my housing or an 04 (single bulb) housing.

    Two questions:

    1. What kind of fogs are you installing?

    2. Can you take some pictures/measurments to show me what I'm working with? Maybe we can do a deal.

My question is where the gxp ones are smaller than stock gts what about that gap that would be there?

There going to be a high gap if you just take the stock Gxp fogs and putting them nto a 04. The best bet your going to have for both performance and aesthetics is finding a projector that is small enough to fit into the lower portion of the split 50/50 fogs or the standard base 04 single lights. It's not difficult but you have to be willing to do the work. It's been done before but most don't post to often in regards to it.

Thanks for the tip Red, I'll look to see if MidnightBlue has anything on this.

Everyone agrees that HID's in fogs by themselves is bad though? Blinding?

Yea I'm hoping my new replacements get here today. Their fushion fogs with 4300k bulbs. If they don't arrive today they will tomorrow for sure. I'll take pics of the new and old along with any measurements u want just cause I don't have anything to do when I get off work except car and Xbox and TV lol

Not really hid in reflector based headlights are way worse. The fogs will be pointing to the ground in front of the bumper mostly so they shouldn't blind anyone as long as they are aimed correctly.

The key is you gotta aim them right and shouldn't have any problems.

Cool. Depending on what they look like, this may be the easier way to go.

Alright man I got pics I'll upload when I'm done cleaning up the place. But the are 3 inches tall and 3 inches wide even. The screws for the bottom are two inches from center to center and the fop adjuster screw is dead center.
