my seats in my 99 gtp are getting pretty worn out... i was just wondering what alternatives there are to getting different seats that are compatible. If anyone has pics they could post of something they did that would be helpful... and no i dont want racing seats or anyting like that im looking for something along the lines of stock seats out of a different car.

Could go the simple route and get 04-08 seats. Completely swappable.

ive heard of it being done but, yet to see it. but regal seats blow GP seats out of the water. and then some.

the most common colors are dark and light gray. and im sure the back seats should fit as well.

Yes sir. There is a write up somewhere of 04+ seats going into a coupe and actually if I remember right with the passenger fold flat option on 04+ you actually get better access to the back seat on the passenger side

04 up have a 60/40 fold down, vs that crappy pass through. at least the newer regal seats are like that. ive heard some say there is more metal blocking the use of the new seats, but my 98 regal was clear, just matting had to be trimmed back to the size of the new hole. which its strut tower to tower.

write up for seats? theres not one cause its to easy for words.

move the front seats up and forward, then un clip the wires under the seats, then unbolts them, pull the seat back, back. then lift the rear, and while lifting it lift the front and pull back some. you will also need to unbolt the seat belt from the side area. the front mounts are like a slide in and when the seat drops the hooks hold it tight.

back seat, about 1/3 in from the outside edge, put your fingers at the base of the seat cushion and lift it up, it will pop, some for the other side, then slide it forward and take it out. the back part, has 2 10 mm bolts holding it down, and your seat belts maybe bolted via the seats other two hoops.

my rear seats had nothing holding the top of the back part that i recall, but the newer seats get screwed in. you also need to cut some padding away to fit the nubs where they screw in to the sheet metal. i have not screwed the top in yet and it stay put just fine so far. been a good year so far i guess.
