So here's the deal. I bought a set of roof rails from a guy on here for $125 bucks. Long story short he never sent them and I ended up getting my money back by opening a claim in PayPal. That leaves me with $125 to go blow on something else for my car now. Still sad that I didn't get the rails. But anyway, I was also considering a dash cam, gps, or a special edition spoiler as well. I figure the fogs would be helpful because mine are crap and I plan on retrofitting the headlights this summer so they will match nicely I think. What are all your thoughts on this?

I sure as hell wouldn't pay that for them. Looks to be a cheap Chinese projectors. Any reason you have to have projector fog lights..if it was me I would just run a set of brand new stockers w/ hids if you choose or retrofit some. Don't throw your money away like that on the product you linked.

I wasn't going to pay that much for them. I saw them on Ebay for like 80 a month ago so I was just going to wait for that. I also considered getting a set from a BMW but I'm not exactly sure. I honestly didn't realise you could retrofit the stock ones either. I'm still kind of undecided because I would like to buy a motorcycle come summer too so I don't really know what to do. One thing I do know is that the light output I have now really sucks. lol

You can retro anything with enough creativity. You can try the matchbox projectors if TRS ever restocks them there small and I'm sure you could hack them up to get them to fit in stockers. Really fog light projectors aren't needed just something to add if you have the time and money. Just some hid in them should give you plenty of light.

I know that my stock fogs will melt if I use HIDs in them. I guess I don't really need projectors then. Maybe I will just hold onto the money for now and see what comes along.

They probably won't melt if you run 35w especially if you only use them when you need to.

Mine have halo rings in them right now that I installed but I think I am going to try to sell them with the headlights that I put the rings and LEDs in because I highly doubt I will ever use them again since I put the blacked out ones in and when I retrofit I will probably get rid of the blacked out ones because I have no use for them anymore. They are just taking up room.

Or, you could get the projectors out of an alero and retro those in. They are nice little pieces.

I've been running HIDs in my stock foglights for more than three years with no melting.

Aleros have blazer foglights. Same thing the Gxp and just about every other GM vehicle uses.

Buy Morimoto Matchboxes. They're restocked at TRS and after these ~50 pairs or so are gone, that's that.

Plus, it comes with a clear lens. And better yet, you can impress all your friends with your bi-xenon foglights, as they are the smallest bi-xenon projectors on the market.

Or Ford Fusion foglights. Those come with a clear lens as well and the output is breathtaking.

What would be a good foglight to retrofit the matchbox's into?

I just assume that guy was talking about 97-03 cars, so I am not sure how one would mod the stock fog light to even allow for the install of a projector.
