Hey guys i wanna powdercoat my Stock 2001 Chrome GTP wheels but i heard the plastic dipping is cheaper how does it hold up? any of you guys have any pics of your GP's with stock plastic dip or powdercoat done to them just wanna get some ideas as im too cheap to purchase aftermarket wheels unless they are a deal i really like my 16 inch chrome stockers because the way they look when they are shined up and the rotors through any pics or responses would be appreciated

plasti-dip is basically vinyl wrap in a can. lay it on thick and you can just peel it off later.

however, powdercoating will look 1000% better. yes, 1000%. plasti-dip is gonna be flat and ugly, comes in about 8 colors. you cannot paint over it with good results (doesn't peel off well anymore). they do make some 'metallizer' stuff that's like a top coat that you can class it up a little bit, but it'll never EVER look as good as a nice paint job or powdercoating.

Not the best picture, but they are powdercoated silver. 94-96 GP rims.

Powdercoat will always look better than plasti dip IMO.
