    Hello All!

I was hunting around a few of the scrap yards in my area, and I found a Grand Prix with leather seats and seat warmers. I have a 2008 Grand Prix 3.8 with the dual exhaust and radio controls (so the upgraded model I guess you would call it.) Anyway, I don't have the seat warmers in my model, and I have the heating controls with three buttons instead of five. What I want to know is if I pickup the Leathers with the warmers, and the heating control panel with the five buttons (for the warmers), what else do I have to do to get them working in my car? If anyone knows it would be great!

    Thanks Everyone!

Seat heater? I dont think you would have them in your cloth seats and Im pretty sure the Grand Prix never came with dual heated seats (I could be wrong). But the seats should just be plug and play if they are 04+

I don't have them in the cloth seats, but the leathers that I found have them built in. (Could be only driver's side, i'm not entirely sure). I'm just wondering if I get the seats and the control panel, if perhaps the car is prewired for it, or if there is anything else I would have to modify in order for it to work correctly?

Well the yard will sell me the two front buckets and the rear bench and the control panel for $350 (canadian, haha!), and they are all in great condition. This particular car was in a pretty nasty front end wreck, but the seats are in great condition, I just don't know if it's a plug and play type idea, or if I have to run extra wires and connections from the fuse panel, that's all.

    Some background information:

04-08 Base Models all have the standard 3 button (missing the heating buttons)
04-05 GTP have the traditional knob style climate controls w/ the 5 button.
06-08 loaded GT have the 5 button digital style climate controls
05 GXP have the standard 5 button like the 04-05 GTP did
06-08 GXP have the 5 button digital

    - The digital climate controls have what looks like 2 plugs in the back on the controls
    - the standard 5 has just one plug
    - for all 04-08 base models with the 3 plug they have 1 plug in the back

So if you were to get leather seats from less say a 04 GTP you'll need the Climate controls from a 04-05 GTP and then you'll have to figure out how to wire the seats up to adapt from a 2 plug to 1 plug and vice versa.

To simplify things for you his you have a 08 base get a set of the leather seats form either a 04-05 GTP or a 05 GXP. Along with the climate controls from the same years as the seats your getting (make sure it's the 5 button standard one) and everything should be plug and play.

I learned this the hard way after I swapped from my 04 seats to 06-08 GXP seats and I need to figure out away to get the heating seats again.

This is all based of what I've learned over the years maybe other can chime in.

And you may to to splice somewhere to get power but you may not have to since the driver side should be electric.
