So i was just about to start looking for the dual exhaust tips for the gp and a buddy of mine told me he knew someone that polished his tips and it looked great. So i went and got some 320, 600, 1000 grit sandpaper and then polished it all off with hoosier aluminum polish (same stuff i use on my semi). I wanna know what you all think. Was it overboard that you can see the muffler too? I was thinking of painting that flat black and leaving the tips shiny or should i just leave it as is?

    Opinions welcome please

Paint the mufflers black. Tips look good, I plan on doing mine soon.

I think they look pretty nice actually. Like smoke14 said, paint the mufflers black. It'll make the tips pop more.

How do you keep them shiny without having to carry a scrub pad everywhere??

You swap them for some stainless steel tips. Keeping them clean will be a never ending process you can try to clear coat them but doubt that will help much without having to constantly scrub them again

I'm catless, so they turn yellow/brown/black quickly and the easy way to clean them is just with a can of brake cleaner and a rag.

Spray the rag and quick wipe down and they are clean. Of course they will dull overtime and quick sanding brings back the shine.
