Hi everyone im new to the forum, let me off by saying happy holidays to everyone. I just got a 2005 Grandprix and its a weird greyish colour that come factory, i just sold my other vechicle and now have $1,000 to make my grandprix look sporty/performance wise its just a base model has 325K but it runs like a champ. what would some ideas be?

    1) I was thinking spraying the tail lights (had them done in a mustang) only thing is what happens if someone rearends you and says they didnt see your tail lights? ..

    2) Head Light Covers OR Black Halo Lights? / Or maybe HID KIT / HEAD LIGHT COVERS

    3) Vent Visors and Tint windows all way around,

    4) Have my shop weld me up some duals not sure how much they would charge anyone have ideas?

    5) I was also thinking maybe some headers if i get the exhaust

    6) And maybe a hand tuner?

Dont know much about the cars but i just need some help and ideas throw some ideas in for me if you want there all welcome but im just trying to get your guys opinion to make it look nice. thanks for the reply's in advance merry christmas

    1. dont go so heavy on the VHT. i myself have spread numerous tails/headlights and no issue reported with 2 coats up to 4 light coats.
2.retrofit or bust, ebay aftermarket have bad output period
    3. i like the idea of vent visors, i myself have been thinking about this
4.you have single tip? you can get a gt rear valence and will have cutout for dual exhaust. and will look more factroy that way
5.like your thinkking, but look up the safley modding your 3800 thread, great reading
    6. hp tuners would be the way to go here if your serious

Im located in canada and i was going to order the halo lights offline or a site called carid im not sure because they also charge me shippin up the ass. do you have an idea how much itl cost to get a shop weld me in duals then get the 4 oval tips the tips are only 80 i think but is it a big job to weld duals onto a base model? , do you know any good online sites to buy grandprix parts off?
    thanks

Headers are the #1 mod I would do first, sets the stage for anything that follows.
Overkill BBC Cam, YT 1.8 RR's, Rhodes Lifters, STGII Heads, GenV, Pacesetters, 3" Exh to Tips, TEP Trans. N*, ID 75# injectors/E85 coming soon

Forget anything performance wise until you do suspension and brakes. I never understand why people want to throw mods at a car with stock suspension and brakes. Seems kinda pointless to me.

Either do a retrofit or leave the stock headlights in. The eBay headlights look cheap and provide worse light output then the stock lights. Headlight covers are purely for looks and I'm not a fan personally and you'll want to take them off everytime you drive at night.
