I recently brought some tail lights from e-bay and when I got them was disappointed they were made by Sonar/Spyder as usually that means poor quality. I was told by the seller the LEDS in the tail-light can not be replaced when they go out. I have hard time believing they would manufacture a light assembly with LEDS that can not be replaced. Does anyone know if they can be replaced and how? Here are the lights:

I thought the Spyder ones were the best quality as far as those types of stuff goes.

I have not had any issues with my LED tails. All of the LEDs are still working after a year of owning them. The quality is pretty good as well.

In theory the LEDs should never burn out, the resistors would go first. I've had led switchback bulbs in front corners for 6 years now and never had an issue.

Thanks for the replies. I have a loathe for Spyder lights as I purchased some Halo Projector lights from them and they were junk. The halo's could not be changed out when they burnt out (one did), the low beam light did not utilize the factory connector and instead used male to female spade connectors (o.0 seriously?) and the tabs on one pair that mounts the light assembly to the vehicle snapped off when I ran over a pot hole once.

I am concerned with a tail light diode going out from rain water as they are made by Spyder.

I haven't had any problems with mine, the tails are better quality than the projectors that's for sure. Lining up holes to mount the tails can be a slight pain but mine went in fine, some have had trouble and opened the holes on the car up a little to make it easier.

I have spyder ccfl halos head lights, and led tails for almost two years now with the HID blasts that came with the head lights, no issues with either, except bounce on the headlights that has been fixed. I did nothing special to them and i have no water in them. the tails are a much better fit but there still is a gap at the bottom, its only noticeable if you get your eyes even or below the tail light lol.
You just have to know what you are getting into

I was trying to give you a better idea of what they look like on a car together and functioning. I will gladly delete them if you like.
