I finished my Retro's last spring. I love them, hell of a lot of work though. I have a bunch of links that I used while researching how to's and troubleshooting problemsfor mine. Ill have to find them though.
Find cleangtps old thread with his old photobucket account.
Seems that most of his pictures got deleted but alot in his photobucket are still there and you can get an idea of what needs to be done.
I have many pictures in my members ride thread of what alot of the cuts and fitting look like.
i dont know if i should be mad at the company or myself for buying these
yeah thats what i thought haha im lookin at theretrofitsource.com and im wondering what all the shrouds look like
ok sounds good thanks are they hard to make?
so if i do a retro it wont the oem housings?
i would use the stock headlights right and just put the shrouds in that right?
so i checked it out can you put halos in there too? and the hids wont melt the plastic?
i mean i melted my spyders within 2 weeks with 35w
heres exactly what you need for your retrofit.
Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1) - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc
yeah i found that thanks
270... holy balls.
I had 120 in projectors and shrouds and then bought a hid kit for under 60. And bought new headlight housing and still came in under 250.
That comes with their $150 HID kit though. Which is a hell of a lot better than what you and I are using. Trust me on that.
If you want halos, you can choose that option in that package there too and they'll send you the matching size.
Look at my thread in the member's ride section to see my install with the amber halos. Do keep in mind they don't "fit on" you have to glue them. Use JB weld or something. I used gorilla glue, but I'm worried about them.
