What is the best headlight/ blub combination for the money. I think it is time for some cosmetic/ upgrade maintenance and I was curious if there is anything out there that is a good option.

    You could retro fit yours.

Get new OEM's from rockauto for a decent price.

Get stock black housing ones off ebay.

    Many options.

You asked what the BEST headlight setup is.

A set of brand new housings with morimoto mini h1 projectors retrofitted in (or if you'd rather have better lightout but a much more difficult job FX-R projectors are the best) are the best. As far as looks, a clean MH1 retro will look sexy.

    mine as an example...

If you put HIDs in stock OEM style housings at all, I will forever call you ricerboy.

Retros are so worth it. Go compare light output with someone who has a retro. You'll drool.

^ Yup x2 drive something that has projectors and you'll never go back to HID w/o proj. Trust me I know i'm on my 4th set. Can't stand borrowing someones car without them makes visibility that much harder.

That's a huge improvement, but you'll definitely notice a difference in doing a retro vs ebay projectors as well. Those super sharp super pretty super bright cutoffs, great foreground limiters, and all that extra distance... so worth it.

    DDM.

I took them out of the car until I can afford a better quality kit. Moisture got into harness and burned thru wire after shorting out.
