Stock headlights were leaking badly, so I splurged and got these halos.

Now I have a bit of a problem. Since I wired the CCFL halo inverters into the running lights, the circuit doesn't have enough power and my HVAC control lights cut out. I'm thinking I'll just have to wire the control directly into the fuse panel... Anyone have any other suggestions?

could always run a relay to the battery and use the running light to turn the relay on and they wouldnt put a load on the system then

I like your idea, but I'm not that familiar with relays. It would be preferable if I could wire the halo's so that they run as soon as the ignition is on. Currently they only run as daytime running lights. I'd like them to work when the light sensor kicks in the night time running lights and maybe even when the brights are on. Is this possible and how would I wire that?

i would run them off of the parking lights so u can have fog light on and parking and the ccfl halo rings on run the power wire from parking lights to post 86 run the ccfl ground to body ground and the ccfl power to post 87 and it the will turn on without a big load on ur lights the rest just follow the relay map out in the picture

Awesome thanks. But I wish I could make them run on my nighttime low's too. If I wire the relay to the parking lights, the halo's would shut off as soon as my light sensor kicks in.

Ok so I have a solution, I just need to know one thing. What wire coming from the ignition switch would have power whenever the key is in the "on" position? I looked and I don't want to start pulling things apart. AND I can't see a way to get a voltmeter in there to test it.

I would use a relay to drive the rings, triggered by the parking light circuit AND the DRL circuit. It's not a lack of power thing, it's a noise feedback thing that may eventually damage your DRL control module or your headlamp switch. I would use a pair of diodes to the relay to isolate the parking lamp input and the DRL input so that the rings are on all the time essentially. Or just trigger them with the ignition run position...
    The GPs are long gone...
