New 2002 Grand Prix GT Guy here and was wondering if it was worth it to find good Tinted Glass at a Scrap Yard and replace, or just go and get Tint added to the Factory Glass. Is it worth the Price to Durability Factor?

Definitely get it tinted at a shop and get a warranty. Check your local tint laws as well

Tint is cheaper than windows. About $140 for premium with 10year+ warranty.
IMO I wouldnt go lighter than 35% though

not where i am. Law enforcement dont seem to care. legal is 50% I have 20% no probs.
You should ask some locals that have tint if they have gotten pulled

The state of North Carolina measures the tint at inspection, must pass 30 % .

I'll probably stick with 35% all around and maybe a 5% on the Front as a Sun Shield at the Top of the Windshield.

Here's the only bonus to buying tinted glass:
If you live in a state that only gives a fix-it ticket, you can switch them back and forth.

I have 20% on my Grand Prix and the Police here in Springfield dont seem to care just keep the front windows down in the summer time and you will probably be okay.

hahaha 5%'s the only way to do it! Just joking! I have 5% on my gp and i love it just kinda hard to see around corners at night! But like everyone else said if you live in a city/town where cops will pull you over for if and cut it, it would be pointless to get it

I have 35% all the way around. In my opinion, I think it's perfect. It gives the car a sleek look yet doesn't look like I'm hiding anything.

@gtpeddie Where did you get your mud flaps? I've been looking for something like that for a while. I love the Pontiac text on it.

OK, now you all got me thinking again! @gtpeddie, I just may change my back windows to the 15% as you have it. I have the Sedan 4-Door Model, the 35% up front would assist in view-ability of the streets. But, Damn, does it look good all around at 15%
