This might not be in the right part of this section... But seeing as how it wasn't a tip or trick on detailing, I put it here

Anyways I have a 10 inch craftsman buffer/polisher and it works pretty well, but I have been looking at getting A Porter Cable 7424 HD model and I really want to know what makes that a better investment?

The PC is a random orbital buffer with a long reputation in the detailing community as the standard. It's solidly built, easy to use w/o screwing up and overall just a nice piece for the price.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

go on Autogeek.net and look at the how to vids etc. You'll be able to understand quickly why it's superior to the current polisher you have.

I looked at some of those videos...
And wow I am blown away, that thing does ten times the job that my current one does. I will be getting one of those when the money arrives

Good decision. Worth it's money in gold. One of those products that you may use once every bluemoon and will be so thankful that you purchased it makes detailing so much easier/fun.
