I hope everything works out for you. But your looking for a car with out suspension and other misc. parts and no interior. These cars are unibody so if you find anything you have bought a new car anyways. I would honestly look for a different car. What your planning on doing is going to be more work and money in the long run than it's worth. I am sorry to say that and I do understand the thought of it being expensive to replace...but cars and modding them and keeping up with the maintences cost no way around it. I'd save my money buy something that takes me from point A to point B but can also get me to point C and D and maybe point E and save save save. From what I remembered your a young guy. Worry about having a nice car later and work with what you have. Focus on the big picture! Which for me is finishing my bachelors and starting masters and saving for my first house with a garage. Then the fun begins. I too and I still am very young and I have the toys and I made the mistake of focusing on the wants instead of the needs. Just my opinion.

Continue looking for your replacement body...but do some research on how much time and money its going to take to transfer everything over for the old to the new. Or even find a cheap GT thats in good condition and then transfer your engine and trans over to it and doing that it should yeild a lower insurance premium as long as you don't tell your insurance company about your mods . Just ideas that you should atleast think about...
