A friend of mine has a '78 Camaro hood scoop in his garage. While I was over there the other day, I had the idea to lay it on the hood of my prix because i'm looking into something a little different. Didn't take pics unfortunately, but i think it looked alright. Anyway, how do you all think it would look?

here's a white one for reference

Honestly OP, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks except you. I have my own custom hood...some like it, some don't. I don't get offended when someone doesn't like it. It's mine and I love it. If it's something YOU like, I say go for it. Be different!

Some people on this forum like to mess with you if you dont have a scoop that was made for your car. i have a ws6 scoop and get alot of s*** from some people. if its what you want to do then do it . its your car but also look around into other hoods and designs that might intrigue you also..

blending is really tricky on those ends like that i had to redo my hood after i primered it and noticed my faults. it does pay off to check your work twice though. also you could make it a working air vent if you wanred by cutting the hood in the right places but if its your DD i wouldnt recomend it . it would only be there for the knowlege its a working scoop

I'll see about picking up another hood and trying to do this. It'll be my first attempt at body work but I have a friend who's got several years experience working with high-end cars in cali, so I'm sure I could get him to help me out if needed.
