I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix and I want to put a new exhaust on it but I don't want it to sound like I'm driving a dirt bike but I do want it to have that nice growl to it. What would be the best exhaust system for my car? I don't want to spend much over $500 for it also.

    Catless headers are like $200.

A Glasspack to put in place of the resonator is like $30.

It'll still be quiet but a bit more noticeable

I don't really want to go anywhere near the headers. I was thinking more of an exhaust system. But I don't know which brand would get me what I want.

Stock catback...these cars don't have a good exhaust note.

    Seriously.

    just buy mufflers.

    borla is okay.

magna flow and flowmasters are ear bleeders.

and like he said, stock catback is really the best, but not everything thinks the same.
