Finally, i am a part of the cool group because i just bought myself some black roof rails off a member here. The rails will be here thursday, im excited. Anyway, how do you install them? Im sure i need to remove this...

    But how?

Im guessing its glued in, so whats the easiest method to removing this stock strip and loosening up the glue and what not?

    AND...

What do you all use to hold the roof rails down? 3M Tape, some kind of glue?

Good question. I have a set of roof rails that are starting to peal up. From what I can see it looks like some kind of a caulk/glue was used to hold them down. I'm thinking about cleaning that all out and using the 3M molding tape myself.

You don't remove anything, just use the 3M double sided tape and stick them on there.

You have to remove the stock trim.

Have you ever seen the bottom of a roof rail?

    Its not flat.
