no one starts from square one?
to the OP, yes filter looks too small. but is it hutring performance...not yet.. maybe after a few mods?
Re: Is a CAI worth getting on a stock GT?
The point is, for a N/A GP GT, the stock airbox is MORE than sufficient.
However when you go supercharged you're now pushing about 25-35% more airflow and a better solution would then be needed.
Re: Is a CAI worth getting on a stock GT?
OP you said sooner or later youre getting a tuned PCM and possibly headers?
get the intake.
youre going to need it with headers anyways. plus you have nothing to lose by getting it.

already got it.. I'm glad to know that there are no negatives to having it on (:

Some people are such jackasses. If you like it, or want it, go for it brother. Don't let anyone else tell you what to do to your car, or how to live your life. Damn.

Lol thanks, I don't mind.. and I personally enjoy what I have now but i'm just wondering if its beneficial at all. and from what I read, there are not really many negatives to having the hai.

None that I can see. ****, it's a GP, may as well have some fun with it before we all start driving hybrids and electric toy cars... :(
Re: Is a CAI worth getting on a stock GT?
make your own little intake. for teh noise. sounds like a vaacum cleaner on indle, but has a deeper tone on WOT.
now if you want you car to be faster and stuff.... either shell out the money for a turbo kit, or get a gtp. topswap isnt worth it, any boltons on the n/a are useless.

The first "real" mod i did to my SE was an intake, in my head it made it quicker...lol. I'd say its worth it, ya gotta start somewhere.
I didnt go with a HAI tho.Its not hard to make a fenderwell intake, and colder air makes a little more power...even if it is neglegable
Re: Is a CAI worth getting on a stock GT?
I like how this is in "visual modifications". It makes sense in this case.
Re: Is a CAI worth getting on a stock GT?
It definitely didnt hurt anything. What it did help, is replacing the stock filter every few oil changes. Now you can just remove your filter and clean it off.

They have blower envy, I don't blame them.

Does it honestly matter if its a NA or Supercharged?
I personally like the fact that I dont have to worry about premium gas prices and using supercharger oil.
Yeah my car may not be 240hp but does it really matter to me? No. Because I don't go around racing people.
and if I did I know that my car could keep up with tons of other cars. Maybe not vettes or GT stangs but ohh well,
and If I do a coutless number of mods My GT would be as fast as a stock GTP. but its fine if you still wanna rage about whos car is better . Its not gunna make me trade my N/A for a GTP.
(;
Re: Is a CAI worth getting on a stock GT?
^ Guy is jelly. 260HP is wayyy better than 200HP.
S/C oil is only 15$ used every 40k miles or so.
Re: Is a CAI worth getting on a stock GT?
Says the guy with a stock air box and can't make an intake :P
