    I have some stock headlights in my 03 gp gt and i want the black inside the housing. The condition of these headlights are in gread condition, i just want them to look cooler :P lol. any help, links, or suggestions? thanks

    On one of the LS1 boards... LS1tech.com maybe or LS1.com , there is a mod called the whistler mod which is exactly what you are looking to do, but with late 4th Gen Camaro lights. I'd think the same instructions would apply.

    You would have to Bake them in the oven (250 for 5 mins) peel apart and sand prime paint. Be advised that painting the inside will affect light output.

    ^ Thread is old and the pictures no long work.

    If you need picture aids... i would suggest searching "retro projector" in our search bar or go to the "how-to" section and look for the 97-03 retro projector threads. Most of them are newer, have pictures, and most paint the housings and show how to tear them apart and put back together, just omit the projector part lol.

    I opened mine up with a heat gun and a screw driver. Just take your time. DIY painted headlights are much better than the ebay one's due to the ligh output.
