Okay on my rear bumper where it says pontiac across it the paint is starting to bubble up and flake out for some reason.. so im considering putting the red in the pontiac impression to kinda fix that. now i recently found i suck with body work and painting and what not. but i know enough to not just paint or put stickers over flaking bubbling paint haha. anybody got suggestions on what to do here to take care of this problem? should i do some prep work and put red in or something else? if so how..

Wet sand... Sand entire area, clean, and Repaint desired color.

prep is key.

I took the bumper off to do mine. Wet Sand it down, then clean, hit it with some primer, then wet sand, you can do a second coat if you want, then base color, second coat, then clear.
