    i was thinking of making my engine bay a little more showier and wanted to know if the L67 has different valve covers then the L36 i was thinking about going to the junk yard and picking up so covers from a NA car, painting them and then putting them on my supercharged grand prix. thanks

    they are different.

    you gotta get the same valve covers for your motor.

    ZZPerformance - Polished Aluminum Valve Covers #ZZ-PALVC

    These wont melt and let oil leak onto the headers and burn the car down lol. here are some pics of mine, these have been on the car for over a year, i used a little mothers polish on them before install but i haven't done anything but wipe them down since.

    and these are what they looked like 6 months after install when i changed my cam.

    how can you tell id you have an l67 or l32

    1997 GTP . repainted in jet black with blue pearl. rebuilt motor
    with vs cam ported heads and blower.

    Thats a gen 3 blower.

    As for the motor, I would assume there is a number on the block somewhere the says which motor it is.

    97-03 gtp is l67 04+ is l32
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood

    Some of the l32s have black valve covers. I want to say 05+. I got those and then added reflective red stripes.

    arent the l67 a stronger motor?

    L32 is considered stronger with the powdered metal rods and a slighter bigger exhaust valve. I think it's the exhaust but it could be intake.

    Now you just need chrome bushings. :P


    OP I believe V6 Camaro valave covers will work as well. The L67 valve covers will not work because the L67 heads have injector ports. So there is room for these on the valve covers.
