So I'm starting to think I want to retro fit my headlights. I figure now would be the time for me to do it since spring break is coming up and I'll have a 10 day break form school.

I was thinking of going with the Bi-xenon morimoto mini H1 kit from the retro fit source with 35w 5000k hid's. However i'm not quite set on which shrouds (graphite or gattling) I want or if I want black or chrome headlight housings.

As for shrouds i think the mini graphite would be cool but I can't seem to find a pic of them while the lights are on. I was also thinking about the idea of getting angel eyes with them but I think a single angel eye in each headlight would look weird.

Here is a pic of the front of my car. Photo shopping black housings in and/or photos of white cars with black housings is encouraged.

    Thanks, J.

Anybody have thoughts on the shrouds or angel eyes?

I also want 5000k hids for my fogs and i'm wondering if i should get projectors for those as well. will i blind people if i don't get projectors for the fogs?

If you use the shrouds, you have to use the mini gatling gun shrouds or else they wont fit at all.

Also they have to be cut to fit inside the headlight.

Ok, so right about now for headlights i'm thinking stock housings (chrome) with mini gattling shrouds.

I should be fine putting hid's in the stock fogs right?

    - Bi-Xenon 9007 harness

    From DDM Tuning
    - 35W 5000k H1 HID Kit

if you guys did anything different that may have been easier i would appreciate the tips.

If i opt to go the oven route to help remove the lenses how hot and how long should i leave them in there?
the reason why im asking is because i've seen some people say 150* for 8 min and others say 230* or even 250* for 8 min.

Frankly I think the car looks better with the stockers. Good luck with your retrofit though!

Depends really. I'd say 210ish for about 10-12 min, then longer if needed.

Thanks guys. Did that make the house smell at all? And where did you guys end up putting your ballasts? i ended up ordering mounting brackets with my kit. i figured $4 might save me time and hassle, and if i don't use them oh well.

Make sure you finish aiming them and they are where you want them before you seal them back up. Once the windshield caulk is on they aren't coming apart again

Backinblack had some real good posts alongwith cleangtp, although clean is no longer on here so his pics are gone. Search the thread "let there be LIGHT! Morimoto mini retro fit". It should help. That's what I'm using for my basis.
