When I bought my car, the front clip was severely pitted from bug guts left on the car in Louisiana. Anyone from the south can tell you about the love bugs in spring and summer and how the acid in their bodies eats clear coat if you don't clean them off right away.

I bought a can of FW1 Detail spray at a gas station once, it worked wonders in preventing those little bastards from sticking, I would just wipe them off with a damp cloth after a long drive and wash the car at normal intervals. I would recommend that product to anyone that has to clean bugs off their car on a regular basis. The product itself is expensive and may be gimmicky, but it is very convenient to prevent bugs from sticking and becoming difficult to remove which was worth the cost to me. Just my 0.02$

I have a few cans of this stuff its pretty good, It can be used to clean rims, windows and like he said get bug guts off your car. Not to mention it gives the car a nice shine. But ya they are a little gimmiky with their products, I was sold my 3 cans at a gas station where they were promoting them and going around cleaning peoples cars. It felt like I was talking to the sham wow guy.

Yea, gotta love those damn things. I did a lot of highway driving when I lived at home and washed them off daily, now that I live in town I almost hit none. Dryer sheets do pretty good for getting bugs off

I heard cooking spray works really well. I didn't do too much driving with my own cars when I was in that part of the South, but I do know my work-vehicle's paint was F*ED UP when I turned it in. We were forced to have the vehicles washed at LEAST once a week, and even that wasn't enough.

Just saw this... anyone have thoughts on it? Adam's Polishes - Adam's Quick Sealant
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

I like how the slogan is "Look good and go fast."
This is the assumption that everyone can go fast. This is not the case. Interesting product though.

Sealants are just like a wax, except longer lasting. It will make it easier to get the bugs off, and add a layer of protection so they don't etch the clear coat as quickly...but you would be much better off getting it in the liquid form than the spray, for durability purposes
