    What kind of tools did you use to port it?
    1999 GTPHP Tuned, Ported SC/TB, 42#'s, SSAC's, ZZP Modded 1.9's/LS6 Springs/Manley's, TransGo Shift Kit, Poly Uppers, KYB GR2's/Springtech's. - 231k and traded it in. - Gone
    2000 GTP: XP, P&P'd Heads, N*\Lq4 MAF, GenV, 42#'s, PRJ Rails\FPR, Racetronix, TEP w/ 3.29 Gears, 300m, 7/8" chain, SSAC's. - Collecting dust in my garage.

    grinder, carbide bits, sanding drums, for the majority. Clean it up with my dremel, and finish it off by wet sanding it with various grits of sand paper. Epoxy work is done on the interior as well.

    what all you done to the tb before painting it? i want to paint mine too, but not sure if i need to sand or prime it.

    did you change the butterfly to a 72mm on also or is it the stock 69 mm size? if you did change it mind if I ask where you got hte 72 mm blade from? It looks really good & it's giving me a few ideas for the stock TB sitting in my basement

    no I did not change the butterfly. I just taper the inside up to it.

    I took everything off that I could, and took a wire brush to it to clean off as much of the oxidation as possible. I then actually cleaned it in my sink with dawn dish soap, it will take the grease out of your way lol. Once its dried I started with some light coats to build a good base from, and kept going from there. The paint is very thick on there almost like glass. Once I was satisfied with the paint, I gave it three coats of clear coating. I also clear coated the exterior of the sensors for the deep black look.
