Ok..written quote is $2,400.
But my cousin has a mig welder (and does alot of welding) says let's do it ourselves. So....that is the plan now.

wow $2400 that's crazy I paid that for my car lol
Yeah....am very sad that we have this problem. But aside from that, the car is super nice.
I think this is what we need?
Rocker.JPG
I got them for 120 each. Not bad for OEM rockers..i think.
Part number is RRP525 http://ecat.crosscanadaparts.com/base/welcome.php
Your link isn't working
just finished my rocker repair man, it not all that bad, just make sure you double check all your fitment before you mount it final. The only problem i ran into was mounting the rail that the ground effect sits in to the rocker, fit it and make sure your good before you mount the rail to the rocker or your door will rub on the ground effect. good luck
well from your pictures it looks like mine were way worse than yours are so i had a lot of fabbing, and patching to do. As far as the fender on mine I removed it, but it wasnt neccesary i found out later (may be different on the two doors though, im not sure) , if you remove the two bolts on the bottom where it holds it to the pinch weld, and the bolt behind the door (between the frame and fender, towards the door) you should be able to move the fender enough to fit the new piece in behind it. I did leave my doors on, however if you have the room id suggest taking the doors off, it would make things much easier.
We eneded up taking the wheels off. That helped get at some stuff. We did not know the side molding could slide off downwards, and broke a tab thing. Oh well.
Think we need to take the door off so we can cut/weld easier. Just not sure how to go about that. Do the wires come off the inside of the car, or do i need to take the door panal off first and disconned stuff?
Guess we need to take the front seat out as well?
as far as the wiring harness, youll have to pull the tweeter cover at the top of the door, and then pull the door panel to get to the wiring. unhook the door light wires, the wires from the window switch, window motor, power mirror, and anything else im forgetting. Pull the rubber grommet from the door that shields the wiring and they should all slide out. you will have to pull the fenders to remove the doors i believe. As far as the seat goes slide it all the way forward and youll only have to remove the two bolts holding the back of the track down and it should slide up and out.
Thanks again for the help.
So..got the seat out..that went easy. But the fender is a major pain in the ass. It is stuck on the front, some sort of triangle plastic thing i think.
I think we can leave the fender on, but the door is going to have to come off. Maybe try that tomorrow (The car is not at home so cannot work on it all the time).
It looks like we need to reconstuct part of metal underneath the rocker panal we bought. Will post a picture later. But i think all we need is about 80" of galvanized steal, bent 2x, and then weld that along this piece. Will make more sense when i post a pic. Might not even be that much work. Driver side will go alot faster.
Umm...looks awesome? i am not done yet!
I bought the rocker panals as above, RRP525. And then i had two 80" (i think) pieces of metal cut and bent. We are going to weld those on, then put the new rockers over.
But..am on holidays for two weeks..so there will be no progress.
just got back in town, but the fender will come off if you remove the support that holds it to the wheel well, the plastic triangle slides into the bumper, so when u get all the bolts out of the fender it should slide out backwards and pull out of the groove in the bumper
