Re: push button start (progress thread)
TBH.... you should do a kit like this. Not this one in specific, but similar technology.
http://www.amazon.com/Dowontech-ST80.../dp/B004Z1TISK
So all you need is the keyfob within a close proximity and just press the button. No putting the key in the column.

Depends how long he's idling.. Ten second worth is generally what is considered enough to restart the car.
Re: push button start (progress thread)

So how long are you sitting at lights? I don't see the benefit of saving gas? If you are driving 100 miles a day, is this all city driving? I am guessing your starter already hates you.....
Not trying to rain on your parade.... but I just can't grasp this... albeit a cool idea.... but not for gas savings.... carry-on....
Re: push button start (progress thread)
^^^ usually 5 mins a light at the most as i work right in the middle of downtown
Re: push button start (progress thread)
I think it's pretty neat, whether you save gas or not...Haven't seen it done before:th_thumb-up:

I like it! I wanna see a write up lol Geter doneeee
Re: push button start (progress thread)
Cool idea but I agree with Negative113, wire in remote start with a fob so you don't need a key at all.
